Earthing -- The Greatest Health Discovery of Our Time

Reading about "Earthing" -- The Greatest Health Discovery of Our Time!

http://www.earthinginstitute.net/index.php/overview

The surface of the Earth resonates with natural, subtle energies. Ongoing scientific research is discovering the details as to why people feel significantly better when they connect with these omnipresent energy fields. Earthing refers to the process of connecting by walking barefoot outside, as humans have done throughout history, or sitting, working, or sleeping grounded indoors. For more than a decade, thousands of people around the world—men, women, children, and athletes—have incorporated Earthing into their daily routines and report that they sleep better, have less pain and stress, and faster recovery from trauma. Earthing immediately equalizes your body to the same energy level, or potential, as the Earth. This results in synchronizing your internal biological clocks, hormonal cycles, and physiological rhythms, and suffusing your body with healing, negatively charged free electrons abundantly present on the surface of the Earth.
Earthing is among the most natural and safest things you can do.

  1. I do believe connecting with earth is important for a healthful life.
    Here's my take on it:

Earth's energy is what drives us...so does
    The Sun
    The Wind
    The Rain
Even our very hi-powered storms have impacted and motivated human beings throughout time.

We use the gold that is mined as financial support and power.
We use diamonds not only for monetary value, but for grinding, cutting, and light refracting for even MORE energy.
    Sand is turned into glass.
Trees are turned to shelter, paper, furniture...
Earth's oil is turned into fuel.
Soil (and our oceans) supports our foodsource and the many plants that are used to make our clothes.
Crystals are earth's gifts to help support different parts of our bodies, our psyche, our emotional well-being, and spiritual endeavors.

The moon's cycles greatly affect earth's ocean tides...and since we, too, are largely comprised of water, the moon has been known to influence human behavior as well (indicating just how organically-connected we are to earth).

    Earth provides and sustains us.
    Earth can also destroy us.
But Earth can heal us, too.
If earth supports the herbs that have soothed us, if earth supports the crystals that have tempered us, and if earth supports the water, the air, the light, the food, the clothing and the shelter that sustains us, then why wouldn't connecting, grounding, or "earthing" be our most important part of having good health? That is very powerful energy that we can tap into.

During meditation I place myself in the woods...or mountain top...or lake-side...or in a field with wildflowers (all earth-bound and peaceful so that I can connect with my higher self).
When I feel disjointed, I do some gardening.
And it's so calming to have a cup of coffee sitting outside early in the morning.
A short time at the beach always feels like "good medicine".
There have been occasions where I have emotionally connected with earth (& "heaven" too) by experiencing a sunrise or a sunset.
    All methods of grounding.
    All peaceful.

I believe all of this is "earthing", and I believe, very healing.
It shifts our breathing rhythm, our heartrate, our temperment, our attitude...our overall feeling of well-being.
So while it's not the ONLY part of healing, I do believe it's the most primary & most important part of good health.

    I've been enjoying your blog!
