Crystal Bed Day 20 - What I Would Do If I Had Only 30 Days To Live

Today was a noon session on the Crystal Bed so it was physically relaxing but also very mental.  I enjoy it when deep physical rest is combined with interesting thoughts and insights.

The thought going through my head today was one that Mannie discusses in his book:

What would you do if you had only 30 days to live?

My answer is:  Just what I'm doing now.  Only more of it.

Not sure if this is a good answer or not.  Am I missing something?  Why is it I don't want to do anything different from what I'm doing now?

Perhaps this means I should just be happy!  I’m doing what I want to do every day.  I’m getting healthier every day.  I’m writing every day.  I’m interacting with great people every day.  I’m surrounded by positive energy.

But I do wish I could do more of what I'm doing now.  Write more.  Talk to more people.  Experience more of what I'm experiencing.  Get healthier faster.  Get more clients.  Lose more weight faster!

Wanting to do more of what I'm doing is probably a good thing.  As always, we must be patient.  All good things come in time on the earth plane.

Today I did 45 minutes on the Crystal Bed and was really zapped with energy all day and into the night.  I was experiencing a definite “chakra buzz.” It was a good feeling.

After being on the Crystal Bed Mannie did an aura reading for me using special photographic equipment he has in his store.  It showed my aura was all light and bright lavender.  We agreed that the Crystal Bed is having a positive effect both on my life and on my aura.

Disclosure:  I don't know much about auras or chakras or crystals.

There are people teaching classes at Daytona Books & Metaphysics who know a lot about these things, and I realize I need to study more and learn more.  Maybe get some books at the bookstore.

But I do know I feel a lot of energy flowing through me on the Crystal Bed.  I do know I feel much healthier.  I feel centered, balanced, connected, energized and focused.  Those are good things.

Even though I don’t know much about chakras, I do know what I like.  And I am really liking the effect the Crystal Bed is having on my life.

What Is A Crystal Bed & How Does It Work? (Day 19)

Crystal Bed - Day 19

Today it occurred to me I should learn more about the Crystal Bed, as well as the John of God healing experience and process.

What I've been doing is experiencing the Crystal Bed, but not knowing that much about it.  I could tell it was having a good effect on me on every level.  So what exactly is the Crystal Bed and how does it work?

There is a page of information about the Crystal Bed on the Daytona Books & Metaphysics website here:  Crystal Bed Information

Below are some excerpts.  This is important information for anyone interested in experiencing Crystal Bed healing:

What is the Crystal Bed?

The “Crystal Bed” is the name given to a healing device. The bed has 7 clear quartz crystals suspended approximately 12 inches above the person lying on a bed. Each of the quartz crystals has been cut to a specific frequency.

Each crystal is aligned above one of the seven human energy centers or chakras. Colored lights, chosen to match the chakra colors, radiate light and energy through the crystals to each chakra, and shine on and off in certain rhythms to cleanse, balance, and align your energies. The individual receiving the session rests face up with eyes closed, bathing in the energy.  It is best to cover the eyes with a white cloth.

How Does the Crystal Bed Produce Healing?

The Crystal Bed combines the powers of Color Therapy, Light Therapy and Crystal Healing Therapy. The energy streams produce beneficial stimulation on many physical and energetic levels of being. The colored light shining through the crystals is the healing energy of the Crystal Bed.

As the color is transmitted through the crystal onto the corresponding chakra, it is cleansed, aligned, energized, and brought into balance with all of the other chakras. This allows the other aspects of our self, whether it be mental, emotional or physical to be brought into balance. For when the chakras are out of balance, all the other aspects of ourselves will also be out of balance. Then as these subtle energies are brought into balance, the body's own natural healing mechanisms are able to function as they was designed to do.

The Crystal Bed cleanses, balances and recharges the body's energy and creates a deep relaxation. It is also a great preventative modality. And in the end, we may not know how exactly it works, but we do know it does!

What Should I Expect After a Crystal Bed Healing Session?

As with many subtle energy healing therapies, no claims can be made that any disease states can be cured. However there are many, many reports of healings occurring. Healing can occur on many different levels, spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical. The crystal bed also can help open the connection with healing spirit guides. Some people believe it opens subconscious powers of healing, alignment and balance.

Many people who have had Crystal Bed Healing sessions have reported some of the following:

  • Feeling more energized
  • Feeling a deep relaxation
  • Feeling more at peace with themselves
  • Feeling less stressed and an increased sense of overall well being
  • Gaining a deeper spiritual understanding of themselves
  • Gaining a greater understanding of their life situations
  • Gaining insights and guidance about their future life path
  • Gaining insights into the causes of illness and disease
  • Receiving guidance as to how to best deal with their problems

Every person who receives Crystal Bed Healing reports a different effect, each experience being relevant and unique to his or her own condition, needs, and level of awareness.

Many people who have experienced the crystal bed also feel themselves in an altered state after a session. Many say they feel the sensation of being worked on by spirits, some float back into past lives, and some a feeling of great attunement to spirit. The experience is totally individual.

What do I do after a Crystal Bed Healing?

No matter what the experience, it is advisable for the individual to rest after a Crystal Bed Healing session to fully absorb the experience. It is also advisable to drink several glasses of water over the next several hours to help rid the body of any toxins or waste products which tend to be released through the cleansing action of the Crystal healing. It also can be helpful to write down the experiences and guidance which can occur during the healing session, to help integrate and ground the experience into your life.

Crystal Bed Day 18 - Holistic Success

Today I did the Crystal Bed after a late afternoon meditation and  two mile beach walk.  When I walk on the surf all four elements are in their purest form – the sun, the air, the water and the sand.  They are all energized and ionized and make me feel totally refreshed.  I never want to leave, but I know I have to in order to avoid being sunburned so I don’t stay out there more than an hour or two.  It’s wonderful living across the street from the ocean because with such easy access I don’t have any excuses for not going to get my exercise.

Today’s Crystal Bed experience had me thinking about focused action.   This is the key to success.

My mind is becoming very focused now on what I want to achieve during the remainder of my time on earth.  The more I focus the more my goals become clear, and my chances for success increase.

There is a saying in the world of internet marketing that applies to other endeavors in life:  “The only people who don’t succeed are those who quit too soon.”  One of the primary rules of life that I taught my children is this:  "Never Give Up."

Being on the Crystal Bed is a great time to do strategic, focused thinking that yields action steps.   An action plan is coming together to achieve my goals.  This is important because the Universe rewards action.  Sustained action over time yields the greatest rewards.

Maybe this mental focus is just part of holistic health.  To me holistic means covering all parts of who and what we are:  Soul, Mind, Emotions, and Body.  When we are healthy in all areas of our lives then happiness and success are natural by-products.

There is no question the Crystal Bed is helping me achieve health in a holistic way and I’m seeing it in all areas of my life.  The changes may be slow, but they are steady, and noticeable.

Now I can clearly see why the Turtle beat the Hare in the old Aesop's Fable.  Slow and steady wins the race.  I think I'll just keep plodding along, day by day.  And never give up.

Crystal Bed Day 17 - Catch A Wave and Hang Ten

Today I went in to the Crystal Bed around 5 pm and am pleased to report that nothing happened.

The Crystal Bed experience was very good, but uneventful.  Before going in I was already well rested since I had meditated earlier.  I suppose this is a lesson in healing.  It usually happens slowly over time without being accompanied by flashes of lightening or bells and whistles.

Since it was late I was feeling rushed and had a short session – about 20 minutes.  Yet that was long enough for me to get a good healing experience.

I did have a business insight.  (On the Crystal Bed, if my body is rested my mind is usually very active.)  My thoughts today were about my new business venture of writing a video marketing newsletter.

On the Crystal Bed I made a business decision:  to set up a new website at www.videomarketingnewsletter.com.  I also decided to contact all the video production companies in the US and Canada to ask them to subscribe so they could send this valuable information to their video customers.

Video marketing is a growth industry on the internet and I want to do my part to help.  I also want to ride the wave of a growing business sector: online video.  It was time to go surfing, hang ten, and have a great time.

For some reason I felt that with my Crystal Bed healing I could accomplish anything.  It's not that it makes me feel omnipotent, but rather it makes me feel very confident.  Not only am I losing weight and feeling healthier, I am also making better business decisions.

Looking back on my Crystal Bed experiences so far, I am struck with how focused and clear my thinking has become in all areas of my life.

Even without the health benefits, this would make the Crystal Bed experience worthwhile.

Crystal Bed Day 16 - Understanding the Inexplicable

Today is my 60th birthday.  Only did 22 minutes on the Crystal Bed today but that was enough.  Feel very contented today for some inexplicable reason.  I think the Crystal Bed has made a difference in my life in subtle ways.

I’m still thinking a lot about relationships with other people.  I met a new friend for coffee this morning and we had a good conversation.

I'm finding the Crystal Bed is helping me see the truth of the way things are, with people and relationships.  Whenever I am around other people I'm getting strong feelings about them now.  I’m seeing more clearly where they fit into my life.  Everyone I meet or talk to has come into my life for a reason, I believe.

Last night I had a conversation with another friend about the difference among the words clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient.  Since I was having more psychic and metaphysical experiences on the Crystal Bed I decided I should look up these words and figure out what they mean.  I thought this would help me understand my own experiences better.

Here’s what I found out about what some people call ESP:

·         A clairvoyant ("clear seeing") has intuitive knowledge of people and things by seeing with the inner mind.
·         A clairaudient ("clear hearing") is intuitively able to communicate and receive guidance through the sense of hearing.
·         A clairsentient ("clear seeing"), sometimes called "Empathic", intuitively feels people and/or things.
·         Clairessence ("clear smelling") is intuitive ability to communicate, listen and receive guidance through the sense of smell.
·         A medium or channeler moves out of the way and allows others, such as the angels, to speak or act through them.

This is all new to me yet very interesting to think about.  More and more scientists are doing research and obtaining a greater understanding of the human mind.  We have a lot of mental capabilities that we don’t understand very well.  That is certainly true of me!

Being on the Crystal Bed felt very good today and I was very relaxed afterwards. I wished I could remember and understand more of my mental or psychic experiences while on the Crystal Bed, and I was hoping that would come in time.  I think it will.

Perhaps the process of aligning and cleansing the chakras will improve my mental clarity and focus, and help me use more of my mind in positive ways.  I thought that would be a terrific result of my Crystal Bed treatments.  Time will tell!

Crystal Bed Day 15 - The Downside of Love

Today I went in after church and had a very deep and relaxing 45 minutes on the Crystal Bed.  This was a good amount of time for me today since I needed it.  I was starting to let my body tell me how much time I needed to be on the bed each day.

My thoughts today were mostly about relationships.  Since I'd just been around a group of people this is normal.  The church people all have good energy and are enjoyable to spend time with.  They are all interesting, and I decided I'd like to get to know some of them better.  I began to wonder where some of them were themselves with respect to their own relationships.

Everyone there is considered a "spiritual" person but they also have human needs which include companionship, affection, friendship, and so on.  So this made me think about our personal needs on all levels.

This may seem like a simple question, but I started asking myself where other people fit into our spiritual growth.  How important are relationships to "falling in love with our time on earth?"

People who come into our lives all seem to have a reason for being there. They bring us enjoyment and help us grow.

It is nice to be open to meeting new people and making new friends.  It has been an important part of my personal growth.

It occurred to me while on the Crystal Bed that being in a committed romantic relationship has the downside of (possibly) cutting out other people from your life.

If you are spending all of your time with one person, think of all the new people you might not meet  Think about the current friends you would not spend as much time with.

Meaning you are less open to meeting new people.  Can you do both?  Yes, probably, but in different ways.  This is another topic that I will want to explore more in coming weeks.

My time on the Crystal Bed was continuing to fill my head with interesting thoughts!

Crystal Bed Day 14 - Healing

Today I went in around 11:00 but had a bad night's sleep and was extremely tired. I realized that spending every day and evening with Mom was getting to be too much. I needed a break, psychologically and emotionally. This is because she is slowly getting worse, and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm at peace with that, but then again, it is a bit hard to take, day in and day out. It made me appreciate and respect the the nurses who took care of Mom 24/7. They were really caring people and doing a great job.

When I got on the Crystal Bed I really needed rejuvenation -- and I got it. I went into a deep rest helped by meditation. Jude knocked on the door after 30 minutes, and it seemed like I'd only been there a few minutes. I'd totally lost track of time! The crystal light energy can really send you into a deep rest on all levels. Sometimes that's just what we need, and it really helps with healing on all levels also.

When I got up I felt 100% better than before the Crystal Bed treatment. Not only physically rested but more mentally focused also. I still wasn't sure of the long term effects of the Crystal Bed but I knew one thing for sure: today it helped me feel a lot better immediately. "Here and Now."

To paraphrase an old saying: I don't know much about crystals (or crystal beds, or light therapy) but I know what I like! I was beginning to really like my crystal bed experiences very much.  They were making me feel better, and I could sense that healing was taking place for me on all levels.  And that's just what I need!

Crystal Bed Day 13 -- Joy in Living

My thirteenth day on the Crystal Bed was also Friday the 13th. But I didn't notice it till later. I don't pay attention to such things and am not superstitious.

This was another morning treatment since I was on my way to spend the day with Mom. This always makes the Crystal Bed experience more cerebral and my head was filled with many thoughts as usual.

Doing the Crystal Bed in the morning gives me a lot of good energy for the rest of the day. Doing the Crystal Bed late in the afternoon is like getting my battery re-charged. Both are enjoyable and worthwhile.

While on the Crystal Bed today my thoughts were revolving around some words I'd read in the book "Hands of Light" which I'd purchased at the bookstore a few weeks earlier. It's a book for healers, and in it there is a discussion about the fallacy of feeling superior.

As we progress along our own individual spiritual paths in life it does us no good to feel superior to anyone else. (Nor inferior either.) Everyone is at their own place, and there can be no judgmentalism involved.

This made me think of a quote I'd read recently: "Competition kills the spirit; cooperation nourishes it."

If our goal in life is merely to beat other people, we will have an empty life. There is no joy in beating people, and feeling superior about it. It ends up making you feel separate and alone, instead of loved and connected with others.

While talking with Mannie later he asked me if I'd ever heard the phrase "Be Here Now" which is the name of a popular New Age book from the 1970's written by Baba Ram Dass. I think the name of the book says it all.

Mannie's point is that we need to live in the moment. Just look around you and appreciate what you have right now. Don't bring all the made-up worries about the future into the present moment. Live in the here and now and you will appreciate live more as it passes by.

When we do that a lot of tension leaves us and joy comes to us. Joy is my word for today, I decided. My goal is not to beat people nor compare myself to others. I want to live life to the fullest and experience joy.

The reason we do things, and do them as well as we can, is not to "win" but for the pure joy in doing something great. There is a joy in living and doing things that has nothing to do with comparing ourselves to other people.

If you live fully in the moment and follow your heart and your own guidance, then you will know each day that you are doing the right thing, and you will live a good life -- the life you are supposed to live.

Maybe that is what the Crystal Bed is doing for me. If so, that is a wonderful thing.

Crystal Bed Day 12 - What I Learned From My Mother And William Butler Yeats

Today I had a good talk with Mannie before going on the Crystal Bed. He is good to talk to because he shares his thoughts and guidance with you very openly. He always has something interesting to say, and today I felt peaceful after talking with him.

We were talking about my Mom lingering in hospice care. He said "you can look at it two ways." Either

1. It's bad it's dragging on so long, or
2. It's good because you have the opportunity to spend more time with her.

I definitely agreed with #2, and I actually did not want her to leave us -- I realized I wasn't totally ready myself. However, spending every day and evening with her was taking a toll on me in different ways. (Mentally, emotionally, physically.) I was thankful for the Crystal Bed to recharge my batteries.

Today on the Crystal Bed I was full of thoughts about Mom, about Mannie, about my Facebook friends who had written so many nice comments, and about people at church (The People's Church of Divine Prophecy) who were wonderfully supportive also.

In fact some of Rev. Steve Adkins' comments at church were coming back to me now. He had talked about how we need other people in our lives for our own spiritual development. He calls this "co-development" and it is very important. We won't grow spiritually if we sit at home alone in our own cocoons. Involvement with other people helps us grow.

My Mom had been very involved in politics for over 20 years, and she used to summarize her work in this way: "Politics is people." I could see how involvement with people in politics was her way of co-development.

I didn't feel the same way about politics, but I think you could say that "Spirituality is people." Nothing happens in a vacuum. We're on earth for a reason, which is to live life in relationship with other people.

What kind of people should we be? What lessons could I learn from the way Mom lived her life?

I thought of my favorite poet, William Butler Yeats, who wrote during the dark, cataclysmic years of the early 20th century. These years were filled with world wars and holocausts. He thought that good people needed to do more to prevent bad people from taking over the world.

He wrote in his famous poem "The Second Coming:"

Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Are good people today full of passionate intensity or have they lost their conviction?

My mother was full of passionate intensity in trying to make the world a better place, and to make our country stronger by involving more people in the political process.

This is the kind of person I thought I should be, and the kind of person I want to be. This is what my mother's life has taught me. If you have values, beliefs and convictions then you should work hard to make the world a better place in accordance with your beliefs. Mom was full of "passionate intensity" and thought she owed it to her children (and to God and her country) to make the world a better place, and so do I.

I hope I can live up to her standards. I know I will try.

Crystal Bed Day 10 -- Minding Your Own Business

My 10th visit to the Crystal Bed took place early in the morning, and I was on my way to a big business meeting in Orlando with a video production company. We were going to be talking about a joint venture business relationship.

I was curious to see what effect the Crystal Bed would have on my normal "pre-meeting jitters" and the meeting itself. I wanted to see if it really did calm my nerves and heighten my senses and make me think more clearly.

I actually started thinking about this on the Crystal Bed, which led to an insight about people and relationships. Why let people bother me or annoy me? There was no need for this.

I resolved I would be a lot better off by just minding my own business, and let people deal with their own issues. Seems like when we get annoyed with other people it's because of something they do that we want them to change.

It was clear to me I would be well served to stay out of their business and just attend to my own.
I still could give them unconditional love and light, so I wouldn't be ignoring them. I just wouldn't let their behavior or anything about them bother me at all.

In other words, I decided that "mind your own business" was good spiritual advice!

The Crystal Bed really was making me a calmer person with less anxiety. It had been helping me deal with Mom being in hospice. It helped me have a great business meeting later in the day. I was feeling a lot of positive energy.

In fact, I started to notice that most other people did not have this kind of positive energy. Many people seem a little "down" or tired. Of course these people have not been getting the daily Crystal Bed treatments. I was picking up on their energies.

The Crystal Bed was a bit like a "natural high" or "pick me up." In fact, if I acted too cheerful, I felt like people were give me funny looks. I started to worry that my excessive positive energy was annoying other people!

I decided I really needed to start paying attention to how my Crystal Bed experiences might be affecting my relationships with other people. I wasn't worried, but thought it was something to be aware of anyway.

Crystal Bed Day 9 - Relaxation

My 9th trip to the Crystal Bed was done late in the day and was very intense and deep. I'd been physically active earlier in the day and my body was a bit tired, and some of my muscles were aching. After the Crystal Bed treatment, however, the tiredness and aching were gone! There was no question that overall I was feeling better due to the Crystal Bed treatments. I seemed better rested, more relaxed and had a general feeling of well-being.

Today I decided to try something new -- to meditate while on the Crystal Bed. This contributed to a very intense and deep experience. When I was done I was not groggy or drowsy at all even though I'd gone very deep into the meditation. Afterwards I needed a few minutes to readjust to "the real world!"

I felt like my nervous system had been calmed down while at the same time my senses were heightened. I could hear sounds very acutely on the Crystal Bed but they did not bother or annoy me in any way.

On the other hand the pleasant sounds I heard from the meditation CD's enhanced my Crystal Bed experience tremendously. I felt extremely sensitive to the healing sounds and allowed them to go through my entire body and nervous system and I felt like they had a significant healing effect.

My conclusion for today was that the Crystal Bed's cumulative effects were beginning to pay off in several different ways, and I was glad for that!

Crystal Bed Day 8 - Resurrection

My 8th trip to the Crystal Bed was Easter Sunday and I decided to attend church before experiencing the Crystal Bed and go visit my Mother afterwards. The church service, on the second floor of the bookstore building, is served by the Rev. Steve Adkins, a spiritualist minister who studied many years in England and has a unique, varied and interesting background.

Today he talked about how spiritualists believe that Jesus really did all the miracles and everything else described in the Gospels of the New Testament. They also believe that Jesus was the greatest Spiritual Master who ever lived. (Can't argue with them there!)

One of the nice things about this church is that it accepts warmly and openly people of all faiths and religions. You never feel out of place there.

In addition to that, the church services have two wonderful segments which I have never seen in any church before, but which I find very beneficial and even enjoyable. First there is a healing segment of guided meditation, and you are able to go sit in a chair on the side of the room where there are spiritual healers giving wonderful healing treatments. Then there is a guest lecture segment on some spiritual topic, and after that there is a mediumistic or psychic-type demonstration of the spiritual world.

The demonstration is a"reading" that takes place to demonstrate to people that the spiritual world exists, and that earthly death is not the end of life but possibly the beginning of a new life in the spirit. Since I don't know that much about it, that is probably all I should say, and let Steve or another Spiritualist clergy person write a guest blog post to give more details.

During the church service today, and in the bookstore afterwards, there was a joyous feeling. Everyone seemed to be filled with good, happy energy on this day of perfect weather in Daytona. Even though my mother is in hospice care I was joyous knowing she would be starting life anew in the spirit world, and this made me feel good.

So when I went onto the Crystal Bed I was in a different frame of mind than I had ever been before. It was my first Crystal Bed treatment right at noon and once again my experiences were different than they had ever been before.

Before coming to church I had written a short message on my Facebook page saying that to me, Easter meant that life was eternal. This is the message I get from the story of Jesus's resurrection three days after being crucified. If we live eternally then we should try to live life in as positive a manner as possible, since when our earthly bodies die, that is not the end of our existences.

And on the Crystal Bed I immediately started thinking about spiritual life versus material or earthly life. And once again I had some interesting thoughts and insights I had never had before.

The thought and feeling I got is that spiritual life and earthly life are not really two different things. That is, I kept feeling that earthly life was full of spirit; that the spirit world is with us even as we live on this earthly plane. This means to me that we can be on earth and think and live in a spiritual way. I had never seen and felt this so clearly as I did lying on the Crystal Bed on Easter Sunday. It gave me a deeper understanding of what Jesus said, and new insights into the story of his resurrection.

That is the funny thing about the Crystal Bed. You never know where your mind is going to lead you -- or where it is going to be led by the great energy released when your Chakras are purified and energized.

Today was a very pleasant and healing experience.

Crystal Bed Day 7 -- Responsibility

When I went in for my 7th treatment on the Crystal Bed it was once again a totally different experience than I had had previously. My mind was a bit preoccupied since I was on my way to see my mother again in hospice care in Longwood, Florida. I felt a lot of responsibility for her care, both financially and spiritually. Her condition had stabilized but it still seemed likely that her time on earth was near an end.

So there was a lot on my mind but I was very much at peace concerning where we were spiritually. She was undoubtedly ready to leave her earthly body and enter the spirit realm. I had been saying prayers with her.

I also read something called "Release of the Spirit" given to me by Rev. Dr. Phillip DeLong at our Monday night spiritual development class, and it was very comforting.

The Release of the spirit asks The Divine to take all imperfect and impure energy arising from our earthly lives and "transmute it all into the Ascended Masters eternally sustained purity, freedom and perfection." It calls on the Ascended Master Saint Germain to "Keep the violet fire of freedom's love blazing." This made me feel good, and so I was at peace with the transition that was about to take place for my Mother.

As I lay on the Crystal Bed I started thinking about the necessity to take responsibility for one's own health. That is, I felt that even though I was receiving Crystal Bed treatments for healing, I also had a more active role to play. I had to do my part in the healing process.

This word "responsibility" kept running through my head, and I saw that even though a person can go to John of God, or another healer, or to a medical doctor, we also have responsibility to take additional steps to lead a healthy life.

To me this means living a healthy lifestyle. Exercising and eating right, and keeping one's mind healthy and filled with positive thoughts, were all important elements of healing.

In fact, it seemed that the more I did the Crystal Bed Healing, the more I was able to lead a healthy lifestyle in other ways. It is all interconnected. A part of the healing that takes place from Crystal Bed Therapy is to make or motivate a person to eat right, exercise right, think positively, and connect more often with divine energy.

So the healing is not just a physical thing. It actually can transform one's entire life: soul, mind, body, relationships, finances -- everything.

Then my thoughts turned to my businesses and how they could help more people. All the people who own small businesses really need help in using the internet to grow their businesses and obtain more customers (which is what I do).

Someone (a master salesman) once told me this: If you really believe in what you are doing, then you have the responsibility to help people, even if they don't recognize the need immediately. You do this through education, and by motivating them to do the right thing for themselves.

In other words, don't give up if people are reluctant initially to buy what you are selling. You really must believe that what you are selling is important and will help them. This could apply to almost anything that people need but don't have.

Most people don't automatically do the right thing. They waste money on frivolous things, and they make wrong financial decisions. They increase credit card debt for impulsive purchases, they chase illusory gains in the stock market, and they buy lottery tickets.

So this thought kept occurring to me on the Crystal Bed. I realized I had a mission and purpose to help people, and not to give up easily in my efforts to do this in my chosen way. This could apply to whatever path someone chooses to help people and to make a living.

All of a sudden my body started tingling again and I could feel the healing Crystal Bed energy coursing through my body. It had been about 25 minutes and I realized I'd had enough for the day and got up to go see my Mother.

There was no trance or deep meditation or dream state today, but a lot of good thoughts. So this is another positive result from going on the Crystal Bed regularly. It apparently can really help with mental clarity and making good decisions in important areas of life.

Throughout this session I had been thinking of my children Ethan and Victoria also, and many of the thoughts I had concerned my responsibilities to them. That is, I have a personal responsibility to be healthy and successful financially, and this is part of my responsibility to them, as their father.

So my feeling today was that the Crystal Bed could make me healthy in a holistic way, and this in turn would help me meet all of the responsibilities that I have in life. As Mannie would say, these are not things you "have to do" but rather are things "you get to do."

Crystal Bed Day 6 -- My First Chakra Buzz!

My 6th day on the Crystal Bed was a very good experience, and it was another morning session because I wanted to go see my Mom in hospice care in Longwood.

Because it was in the morning I felt physically refreshed and the Crystal Bed experience was more mental. Seems that time of day might be an important variable in determining what type of Crystal Bed experience I was to have that day.

The mental part is interesting since I always do my best mental work in the mornings. My times on the Crystal Bed were becoming full of many thoughts and insights. Today I couldn't turn off my mind at all. This is unlike meditation.

Today there were many thoughts about my business ventures. How I could help people through writing and online publishing and internet marketing. I got some good insights which made me happy. I felt like I knew what I needed to do in coming days to manifest some of the things
I’ve been wanting to make happen.

INSIGHT: If you are good at something and you also like doing it, then that means you should be doing a lot of it, and maybe make a career of it!

That is the case with me and writing. (Side Note: I enjoy writing these blog posts very much -- it is a fulfilling experience for me to do this.)

There was one business thought that had been in my head for a long time which was very powerful, and I really wanted to bring this to fruition: doing joint ventures with other business owners.
During today's session this thought would not let go of me and in fact I got a very powerful feeling that this was something very important for me to do and I would be doing this in the near future.

What I liked about the feeling I got thinking this idea was that it seemed right on all levels. Spiritually and materially. Personally and professionally. Vocation and avocation. This is what I've always wanted. "Do well by doing good."

On the Crystal Bed today I had the most powerful feeling I'd ever had about how to do that. So to me this was a big step forward as well as a strong call to action.

It's not good enough just to have ideas, I'd concluded. I also had to bring those ideas to fruition by active involvement in the world. If I want good things to happen in the world I have to make them happen.

During my Crystal Bed sessions I usually listen to the pleasant, meditative music that Mannie has playing in his store. Even though the door to the Crystal Bed room is closed I can still hear the sounds.

Today something happened that had never happened before: someone started playing the Chakra Chimes midway during my session. These are specially built chimes that are tuned to the vibrations of each of our Chakras.

They have a very powerful effect on the Chakras as does the Crystal Bed. The crystal bed light energy is just one "modality." The sounds from the chimes that attune your Chakras are a different modality. Both have a good effect in cleansing, aligning, purifying and energizing
Chakras (or so I am told).

When the sounds from the attuning Chakra chimes combined with the light energy from the Crystal Bed, the resulting combination was EXTREMELY powerful. I’d never felt anything like this before! Wow.

It was a real Chakra buzz!

At first I thought my Chakras were getting TOO stimulated by having both sound and light tuning at one time. Then I got used to the feeling and just enjoyed the experience. It was interesting, enjoyable and unique.

I thought I should talk to Mannie and see if we could do more research into the combining of the two modalities.

Today had been a very powerful session with both valuable mental insights and unique physical experiences. Definitely made me want to do more.

Crystal Bed Day 5 -- Mom, Dad & Lunch

My fifth visit to the Crystal Bed was great. I was feeling some grief since my mother in Longwood was taking a turn for the worse, and they were stepping up her hospice care. I wasn't sure how long she would be with us and so was going through a mixture of emotions. Sorry at the thought of losing her, and joy and peace at the thought of her going to a better world.

There were a lot of things going on in my mind, but I generally was feeling calm and well-rested before going in for my Crystal Bed session. I was doing it early in the day, and that might have made a difference also.

I was thinking a lot about relationships and people I know, so the session started out as a mental experience more than spiritual, physical or emotional.

While on the Crystal Bed a lot of things went through my mind that I had not of thought of before. The Crystal Bed seems to bring me clarifying and insightful thoughts that are interesting and helpful in my life.

One thought I had concerns what causes conflicts in human relationships. One very important factor in two people getting along is what they care about. If they don't care about the same things then it is not likely they will be happy or compatible in a relationship. This made me see that people grow apart if they start caring about different things.

For example, if one person starts caring about spiritual things more than material things, but the other person still cares about material success, that can cause a split because the two people simply want different things now and perhaps should no longer be together.

Or maybe one person cares about social activities, and the other person doesn't want to participate in those activities any more. Or maybe one person loves being in a big city because of all the things to do, but the other person doesn't care about those things anymore, and wants the peace and quiet of the country.

So the insight I had on the Crystal Bed was that you have to follow your heart and do what is important to you. You can't give up your truth and stop caring about what is most important to you, no matter what anyone else thinks or says. I wanted to tell my children to get in touch with their intuition and follow it to get what they really want out of life.

My Dad gave me a little message during the session. He told me to continue on my spiritual path. This made me realize that the spirit world is with us all the time. I felt like there was really no separation between the physical world and the spiritual world, and we should let the spirit come into our lives and give us help and guidance more often.

This also made me see very clearly that even after my mother leaves Planet Earth she will still be with us. I felt joyful about this, and it helped me deal with my grief and sadness.

All of these thoughts and insights came during increasingly deep physical relaxation of my body. Eventually I went into a deep meditation with dream-like images floating through my mind. These were very vivid images but I couldn't remember them since they didn't last long. It seemed like I was drifting in and out of conscious awareness. As soon as I saw a dream-like image, I came back to consciousness, but my body stayed in a place of deep rest.

So this session was very unusual -- I had never experienced anything like it. It was really pretty cool, though. There was a nice feeling that is hard to describe;
Very relaxed and at peace, yet also energetic and energized.

Then I started thinking about food, and realized that even though it was 2:30 pm I had not eaten lunch. When thoughts turn to food it is time to get up from the Crystal Bed, so I stopped the session after about 30 minutes.

Does The Crystal Bed Help You Manifest What You Want In Life?

Although I haven't been experiencing the Crystal Bed for very long, I talked to someone who knows more than I do and she told me the Crystal Bed has had a profound change on her life. She said that since she started Crystal Bed healing treatments her thoughts have been manifested more quickly in her life.

The woman who I talked to is called a "Reader" and she gives readings to people who come into Daytona Books & Metaphysics. She said that she had started to notice after a few Crystal Bed treatments that whenever she thought of something it soon thereafter appeared in her life or happened in her life.

Her comments really had my head spinning. What if that was true? What if Crystal Bed treatments have that kind of effect? What would it mean to us if we were able to very quickly manifest our thoughts into our lives?

I'm not sure how something like that could happen. I guess it would be because the Crystal Bed cleanses and energizes our Chakras. This is definitely a topic I will be exploring more in the future. I also decided I should -- and would -- pay more attention to the connection between my thoughts and what was actually happening in my life. It is a little scary to think about. What if you have bad thoughts and they manifest bad things in your life? Hmmm.

This made me resolve to (as much as I can) think only good thoughts and only think about positive things happening in my life!

Crystal Bed Day 4 – The Tingling

On my fourth visit to the Crystal Bed I was in a totally different physical state than I'd been in on any of my previous visits. Even though my overall health was really good I was experiencing a lot of pain in my feet from three different things:

1. A Bunion
2. A Blister, and
3. Chronic pain from flat feet that I've had my whole life.

So I limped into Daytona Books & Metaphysics with a very sore left foot but in good spirits. I'd already completed my afternoon meditation for the day, and had accomplished several tasks earlier that I'd been putting off for some time. I'd even gone for my daily 2 - 3 mile walk along the ocean sand and surf in Daytona Beach, although I'd cut it short because of the blister.

As I lay on the Crystal Bed I started thinking about energy flowing through my Chakras. I’d taken a few classes where we’d visualized this, but I didn’t really know too much about Chakras and energy.

I was thinking that maybe I could get energy to come into the Crown Chakra at the top of my head, flow through my entire body, and pass out through the bottom of my feet. I thought this might have a healing effect on my feet. In other words, I thought the Crystal Bed could facilitate a good flow of energy through my entire body, and also send positive healing vibrations into my sore feet!

What happened was very interesting, and I don't know if it was because of my sore feet, or my intentions of having energy flow to them, but I experienced some very pronounced energy currents during this visit. It made me wonder if the effects of the Crystal Bed were cumulative, and I was getting more "charged" each time I went. What happened felt like sparks flying through my body. I felt like a charged atomic particle.

There was a distinct tingling feeling in three different places -- my feet, my fingers, and my teeth. I knew that many nerves from throughout the body have endings in these three places. I figured that what was going on was significant energy flow through my nervous system. It was like the Crystal Bed had energized my entire body's electric currents and the effects were being felt in my extremities where the nerves ended.

When I got up I felt great after only 25 minutes. It really was a wonderful experience, both energizing and healing.

Mannie and I then had a nice talk about John of God and how to bring the Healing Experience to Daytona Beach. So that's what we're going to be working on in the coming weeks, and I was very enthusiastic about the possibilities of doing this.

Unfortunately my bunion and blister still hurt after my treatment. When I left the store I was limping again. I guess we can't always expect miracles from the Crystal Bed. Maybe next time!

Crystal Bed Day 3 - Trance

When I came in for my third visit I was very calm and peaceful yet also a bit physically tired. My mind was more clear and I was feeling upbeat. I had been reading about John of God and his Healing Center at his Casa in Brazil and I was really feeling great thinking that I might get some great healing from this experience.

It was time for me to admit the fact that I really was in dire need of healing, and that's the #1 thing I was hoping to receive from my Crystal Bed experiences.

BACKGROUND

Several years ago I had come close to dying with serious infections. The first one was diverticulitis, and I had a perforated colon and part of my colon was removed, which took me months to recover from. Shortly after leaving the hospital (after 10 days) my entire stomach ballooned up with another infection along the surgical wound that was nearly 10 inches long.

I later found out that I had a "staph" infection that had been acquired during my hospital stay. Not only that but there were some other mutant bacteria that were resistant to the normal antibiotics used to kill of normal staph infections. Now this is called MRSA (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) and it is often fatal. So I was on oral and IV - intravenous - antibiotics for two months fighting for my life.

I did survive but my life was changed forever. I was never as healthy after that as I was before. My entire life was turned upside down -- personally, professionally and financially.

Then in the winter of 2012 I found out that the MRSA never really left the body, and it could come back at any time and make me sick again -- or even kill me this time. Apparently it has a permanent negative effect on the immune system. So I started to become fearful about getting sick and dying from a simple scrape or cut that could cause an infection that I would never recover from.

MANNIE AND THE CRYSTAL BED IN DAYTONA BEACH

This is when I talked to Mannie about my health issues, and he suggested the healing on the Crystal Bed. He said was also going to start up healing group meditations similar to and inspired by John of God. Mannie had spent two weeks at John of God's Casa in Brazil and saw first-hand the healings that took place there.

So after hearing Mannie discuss John of God, the Crystal Bed, the group meditations, and the great healings that took place in Brazil every day, I decided I would also take this approach to healing myself.

THIRD VISIT TO THE CRYSTAL HEALING BED

On my third visit I had a wonderful, relaxing, rejuvenating experience. I felt very calm and energized afterwards. I had never experienced anything like it, and it truly felt like my healing had begun.

During the treatment my mind had some unusual yet very pleasant experiences similar to being in a trance. It was like a deep meditation combined with a pleasant dream. I felt very relaxed, almost numb, physically. My mind was alert and conscious of things in the same way you are aware of things while dreaming. I felt like there was some process going on that I didn't understand.

I was beginning to think I really liked the Crystal Bed experience, and it would be able to really heal me and make sure I never got sick from MRSA again. That was my hope anyway. And I knew for sure I wanted to keep coming to Mannie's bookstore for my Crystal Bed healing experiences! They were making me feel better already.

This uplifted my spirits and I felt better all over. Now I was looking forward to my next visit with much anticipation.

Crystal Bed Day 2 - Overload

The second time I went on the Crystal Bed it was a totally different experience from the first time. This made me realize that there are a lot of variables that come into play to determine the nature and quality of our experience.

For one thing I was in a different mood or frame of mind. It was a different time of day, and what had happened to me earlier in the day had an effect. I had been around a lot more people and talked to a lot of people and probably picked up some energy from them that was different (perhaps not totally positive either!)

Then when on the bed I started thinking about the environment. I could hear sounds I didn't hear the first time. There was a different odor in the room. It also felt warmer. The clothes I was wearing didn't feel as comfortable.

On top of all of that, I stayed on the bed twice as long as the first time -- 40 minutes this time compared to 20 minutes the first time. I think this was too much for my second time. I felt very overloaded -- like all my circuits were full! I had a slight headache and actually felt queasy in my stomach as well.

Given all of these variables, I'm not sure what caused my second experience to be less positive -- maybe "less pleasant" is a better way to say it -- than the first time. But it did make me aware that there are lots of things that can affect the experience.

To make the experience as good as possible I concluded I should be in a peaceful and relaxed state of mind when entering the Crystal Bed. I should either wear ear muffs or listen to pleasant meditative music. The lights should be either off or very dim. The temperature should not be too warm in the room. I should be wearing loose fitting and comfortable clothes.

As far as the time spent on the Crystal Bed I think it varies from time to time and you have to be aware of what is going on inside you. If it is enough you will know it and you can get off before you over do it and get that sense of "overload" that I had on my second visit.
